Rectal cancer has different changes at different stages

Rectal cancer has different changes at different stages. People can first observe which stage of symptoms they are in, and then proceed with treatment. Do you know what the general symptoms of rectal cancer are? This is a question that people ask a lot. Let the experts explain it to you in detail.

The symptoms of rectal cancer mainly include the following:

Early stage rectal cancer: In early stage diagnosis, patients may not have any subjective symptoms, or only have blood in the stool, similar to the symptoms of ulcers, which are often ignored. Some patients may have slightly increased bowel movements and loose stools. In early stage rectal cancer diagnosis, small nodules or small ulcers can be touched, which are not hard in texture and can move with the mucosa and have good mobility. These are the symptoms of early stage rectal cancer.

Mid-stage rectal cancer: Mid-stage patients have obvious changes in bowel habits, with more than ten bowel movements a day, mostly loose stools or mucus stools, and mucus blood or thick blood stools can also be seen. There is an obvious sense of urgency, and some patients may have fresh blood in the stool. There is dull pain or heaviness in the abdomen before and after each bowel movement. Mid-stage digital examination can feel a cauliflower-like mass with raised edges, ulcers in the middle, brittle texture, easy bleeding, and a certain degree of mobility. These are all symptoms of mid-stage rectal cancer.

Advanced rectal cancer: In advanced stages, the above symptoms are significantly aggravated, accompanied by anemia, weight loss, and obvious pain in the anus. Some patients may experience symptoms of low intestinal obstruction such as abdominal distension, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Some may also experience ascites, jaundice, frequent urination, and painful urination. In the late stage, digital examination may feel a hard stone-like mass that often circles the rectum. The local intestinal tract is stiff and narrow, the mass is brittle and prone to bleeding, and it is fixed to the pelvis and cannot move. These are all symptoms of advanced rectal cancer.

The above is an introduction to the symptoms of rectal cancer. It is best for everyone to learn to judge for themselves. I hope that if patients find that they have the disease, timely treatment is the most important thing. Of course, they must face this disease and treat it seriously to ensure their health.
