Explain the common symptoms of uterine cancer

Uterine cancer is a disease that many women in modern life are concerned about. If women who have suffered from uterine diseases in the past do not pay good attention to maintenance, it is very likely to deteriorate into uterine cancer, which will be difficult to treat at that time. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the symptoms of uterine cancer. Let’s take a look at the symptoms of uterine cancer below.

1. There are usually no symptoms of uterine cancer in the early stages, and there is no obvious difference from chronic cervicitis. Sometimes the cervix may even be smooth, especially in elderly women whose cervix has atrophied.

2. Vaginal discharge: Patients often complain of increased vaginal discharge, which is white or bloody, thin like water or rice soup, and has a fishy smell of cervical cancer. In the late stage, due to the rupture of cancer tissue, tissue necrosis, secondary infection, etc., a large amount of purulent or rice soup-like foul-smelling leucorrhea is discharged. This is a common symptom of uterine cancer.

3. Vaginal bleeding: Symptoms of uterine cancer in young patients often manifest as contact bleeding, which occurs during sexual intercourse, gynecological examinations, and after defecation. The amount of bleeding can be more or less, generally depending on the size of the lesion and the invasion of the interstitial blood vessels. In the early stage, the amount of bleeding is small, and in the late stage, the larger lesions will manifest as heavy bleeding. Once the larger blood vessels are eroded, it may cause fatal hemorrhage. Symptoms of uterine cancer in young patients can also manifest as prolonged menstruation, shortened cycle, increased menstrual flow, etc. Elderly patients often complain of irregular vaginal bleeding after menopause.

4. Symptoms of advanced cancer: secondary symptoms appear according to the scope of invasion of the lesion. When the lesion spreads to the pelvic connective tissue, pelvic wall, compresses the ureter or rectum, sciatic nerve, patients often complain of frequent urination, urgency, anal swelling, constipation, tenesmus, lower limb swelling and pain, etc. In severe cases, it leads to ureteral obstruction, hydronephrosis, and finally uremia. At the end of the disease, patients may experience weight loss, anemia, fever and systemic failure. This is also a common symptom of uterine cancer.

To sum up, this is about the symptoms of uterine cancer. I hope it can help everyone detect uterine cancer in time. If symptoms of uterine cancer appear, please go to the hospital for treatment in time to avoid delaying the patient's condition and missing the best time for treatment.
