Beware of the three common complications of esophageal cancer

Beware of the three common complications of esophageal cancer

Esophageal cancer is a malignant tumor. Once diagnosed, it needs to be treated in a regular hospital in time. If it is left untreated, some complications of esophageal cancer will appear in the middle and late stages, which are particularly harmful and increase the difficulty of treatment. Therefore, patients with esophageal cancer should be alert to the occurrence of complications of esophageal cancer. The following is an introduction to the three common complications of esophageal cancer.

1. Vomiting a lot of blood and bloody stools: This is mainly caused by the rupture of the tumor in the esophagus, which leads to a lot of bleeding. We can see the severity of esophageal cancer from this symptom.

2. Esophageal ulcers and perforations occur: causing local decay, bacterial growth, and various inflammations, resulting in coughs, chest tightness, fever and other diseases, which affect blood transportation.

3. Cancer metastasis: Esophageal cancer metastasizes and spreads. As the tumor further infiltrates the esophageal wall and exceeds the range of the esophageal wall, it may invade adjacent tissues and organs, such as the aorta. If the tumor and the aorta are connected, we call it esophageal aortic fistula. Once this situation ruptures, it will immediately cause the patient's death.
