Obese men are more likely to develop colon cancer

As people's living standards improve, the incidence of colon cancer has shown a clear upward trend, and obese men are more likely to get colon cancer.

Colon cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in the colon mucosal epithelium. The incidence rate is higher in the 40 to 50 age group, with a male to female ratio of 2 to 3:1. Obese men are a high-risk group.

Nowadays, more and more men are carrying big bellies and are labeled as "successful people". These people often consume too much animal fat and cholesterol in their daily diet. They are inevitably fed with fatty fish, thick meat and beer during social activities. They sit in the office for a long time and do not pay attention to physical exercise. This increases the burden on the digestive tract, hinders normal digestion, and the metabolic products of fat accumulate in the body and are eventually converted into carcinogens.

On the other hand, obese people generally have a relatively low intake of dietary fiber, which can enhance gastrointestinal motility and accelerate fat metabolism. If there is a lack of dietary fiber in the intestine, constipation is likely to occur, which over time can become a potential risk factor for colorectal cancer.

Therefore, in life, especially obese men, should lose weight appropriately, reduce the intake of animal fat, eat more foods rich in dietary fiber, and exercise more, which will help prevent colon cancer.
