If you have problems with urination, you should be alert to the occurrence of prostate cancer

Prostate cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in the male prostate tissue, and its incidence rate is on the rise. Early detection and treatment of prostate cancer is the key to achieving a good prognosis. If the local prostate tumor progressively enlarges and compresses the prostatic urethra it surrounds, urination disorders may occur, manifested as progressive dysuria (thinning of urine stream, deflection of urine stream, bifurcation of urine stream or prolonged urination), frequent urination, urgency, pain when urinating, a feeling of incomplete urination, etc. In severe cases, urine dribbling and urine retention may occur. So what are the specific manifestations of these symptoms?

The so-called dysuria refers to difficulty in urination and hard urination, and the degree is related to the condition of the disease. Mild cases are manifested as delayed urination and shortened urination range. Severe cases are manifested as thinner urine stream, dripping and unlinear urine flow, and even the need to hold breath and exert force when urinating. More serious cases require hand pressure on the lower abdomen to expel urine. In more serious cases, a large amount of urine will accumulate in the bladder and cannot be discharged, which is called urinary retention.

Frequent urination refers to an increase in the number of urinations with normal urine volume each time and an increase in the total daily urine volume, or an increase in the number of urinations with a decrease in urine volume each time, or only the urge to urinate but no urine is discharged. A normal adult urinates 4 to 6 times during the day and 0 to 2 times at night.

Urinary urgency refers to the inability to control urination or a sense of urgency when urinating. You need to urinate as soon as the urge comes and you cannot slack off. Or you may feel the urge to urinate again after urinating. If you don't urinate in time, your underwear will get wet.

Dysuria refers to pain in the urethra, bladder, and perineum during urination. The pain can be mild or severe and is often burning. In severe cases, it can be as painful as a knife.

Urinary incompleteness refers to the feeling of a full bladder and an urgent need to urinate, which cannot be relieved after urination. It is also accompanied by symptoms of frequent urination, urgent urination, painful urination, and white discharge from the urethra.
