Dietary Do's and Don'ts for Skin Cancer Patients

For skin cancer patients, timely and regular treatment is very important, and daily diet seasoning is equally important. In particular, they should understand some dietary do's and don'ts so as to more effectively help the disease recover through dietary conditioning.

So, what are the dietary do’s and don’ts for skin cancer patients?

1. It is advisable to eat more foods that replenish qi and nourish blood, such as japonica rice, lotus root powder, jujube, longan, lychee, mushrooms, carrots, yam, lentils, various beans, quail eggs, etc.

2. It is advisable to eat more foods rich in protein, such as beans and their products, eggs, milk and its products, lean meat, etc.

3. Eat more foods rich in vitamin A, B vitamins, vitamin C and vitamin E. Foods rich in vitamin A include carrots, potatoes, rapeseed, spinach, celery, day lily, watermelon, apricot, animal liver, squid, egg yolk, milk, etc.; foods high in B vitamins include brown rice, adzuki beans, soybeans, broad beans, millet, corn, peas, mung beans, cowpeas, peanuts, mushrooms, milk, animal liver, etc.; foods high in vitamin C include fresh green leafy vegetables and fruits; foods rich in vitamin E include wheat germ, beans, egg yolk, nuts and green leafy vegetables, etc.

5. Avoid smoking, drinking, strong tea, coffee and cocoa, etc.

6. Avoid eating food that is too hot, too cold, expired or spoiled.

7. Avoid spicy and irritating foods.

8. Avoid eating allergenic foods, such as shrimp, crab, snow vegetable, ginkgo, etc.
