TCM Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment of Liver Cancer

TCM Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment of Liver Cancer:

(1) Liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome

Treatment method: Soothe the liver and regulate qi, strengthen the spleen and eliminate dampness. Prescription: Chaihu Shugan San combined with Shenling Baizhu San with modifications.

10g of Bupleurum, 10g of Citron, 10g of Toosendan Fructus, 15g of Curcuma, 10g of Cyperus, 10g of Pseudostellariae, 15g of Poria, and 15g of Oral Reticulata.

(2) Qi stagnation and blood stasis

Treatment method: Activate blood circulation and remove blood stasis, regulate qi and disperse stagnation

Prescription: Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction with modifications. Peach kernel 12g, safflower 9g, Chinese angelica 12g, raw earth 15g, Chuanxiong 10g, red peony root 10g, Achyranthes bidentata 30g, Bupleurum 10g, August 15g, turtle shell 10g, Lithospermum officinale 15g, oyster 15g.

(3) Heat and toxicity accumulation syndrome

Treatment: Purging fire and detoxifying, clearing heat and removing dampness

Prescription: Huanglian Jiedu Decoction, Danggui Longhui Pills with modifications. 30g of water buffalo horn, 30g of moutan bark, 30g of raw earth, 20g of red peony root,

(4) Damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder

Treatment: Clear away heat and dampness, resolve blood stasis and detoxify

Prescription: Yinchenhao Decoction combined with Longdan Xiegan Decoction with modifications. Yinchen 30g, raw rhubarb 10g, gardenia 10g, gentian grass 10g, coptis 6g, raw coix seed 15g, oriental rhizome 15g, perilla frutescens 10g, sophora flavescens 15g, herba hedyotis diffusae 30g, and barbata 30g.

(5) Liver and kidney yin deficiency

Treatment: Nourishing the liver and kidneys

Prescription: Yi Guan Jian combined with Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan with modifications. 15g each of raw and cooked Rehmannia root, 15g of Cortex Moutan, 15g each of red and white Peony root, 15g of Radix Ophiopogonis, 12g of Lycium barbarum, 15g of Artemisia annua, 10g of Carapace of Turtle, 15g of Polygonum multiflorum, 30g of Scutellaria barbata, 30g of Herba Hedyotis diffusae.

(6) Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome

Treatment: Replenishing Qi and nourishing Yin

Prescription: Shengmai powder combined with Dabuyin pills. Pseudostellariae Radix 10g, Schisandrae Chinensis 10g, Asparagus cochinchinensis 15g, Radix Ophiopogonis 15g, Fructus Citri Reticulatae 10g, Angelicae Sinensis 12g, Fructus Lycii 10g, Raw Astragalus 15g, Polygonatum odoratum 15g, Carapace of Turtle 10g, Rhizoma Anemarrhenae 10g.
