Several aspects that need attention in preventing kidney cancer

The occurrence of kidney cancer is closely related to obesity. New research shows that for both men and women, maintaining a normal weight can reduce the incidence of kidney cancer, while being overweight increases the risk of kidney cancer. Researchers have found that the risk of renal cell carcinoma caused by overweight is the same for both men and women. The risk of kidney cancer is twice as high for morbidly obese people as for normal weight people, twice as high for obese people, and 35% higher than for overweight but not obese people. Researchers say: It may be that the levels of certain hormones (such as insulin) in obese people are increased, which promotes the growth of renal cell carcinoma; or obesity affects the blood supply to the kidneys, making the kidneys more sensitive to carcinogens. The following aspects should be taken into consideration in the prevention of kidney cancer:

(1) Quit smoking and drinking.

(2) Avoid radiation damage and use hormones with caution. Strengthen protection against exposure to lead compounds. Reducing exposure to chemical carcinogens is an important measure to prevent this disease.

(3) Use antipyretic drugs with caution.

(4) Actively carry out cancer prevention propaganda, popularize cancer prevention knowledge, and achieve early diagnosis and early treatment of renal cancer, which is the key to determining the treatment effect and prognosis of this disease.

(5) People with kidney diseases such as renal cysts should receive active treatment.

(6) Take regular physical exercise to maintain a happy mood and enhance the body’s immunity.

(7) Eat a low-fat diet and avoid animal fat. Control your weight to prevent obesity from causing kidney cancer.

(8) Drinking green tea has a good anti-cancer effect.

(9) Patients recovering from surgery should have regular checkups, every 1-3 months. Those in good condition should have a checkup every six months to a year, and should persist in treatment.
