“Clues” need to be vigilant about cervical cancer

Since the symptoms of cervical precancerous lesions are not obvious and do not cause any discomfort to patients, they are often ignored. Doctors remind women of childbearing age to learn to pay attention to the "health alarms" sent by the body. Sometimes, although they are just "clues", they may contain hidden dangers.

Women who have contact bleeding and abnormal increase in vaginal discharge should be careful. If bleeding occurs after sex or during a gynecological examination or after urination or defecation, even if it is only once or the amount is small, be vigilant. In addition, women should pay attention to the amount of vaginal discharge and whether it has a bad smell. Especially when a large amount of watery or mucous vaginal discharge is found for a long time, it should be paid attention. Go to the hospital for examination in time to rule out cancer, or detect it early and receive early treatment.

Many women have a misunderstanding about cervical cancer, thinking that cervical erosion can easily cause cervical cancer.

I feel very scared. In fact, there is no necessary connection between the two. Cervical erosion is a physiological phenomenon. Under the action of estrogen, the columnar epithelium in the cervical canal of women of childbearing age turns outward and replaces the squamous epithelium of the cervix, presenting an erosive state. Cervical erosion is rare in women before puberty and during menopause because of the relatively low estrogen levels in their bodies. Although there is no necessary connection between the two, if cervical erosion is found during a gynecological examination, it should not be taken lightly. Further cytological examinations are needed to confirm the diagnosis and rule out the possibility of cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer has no obvious genetic manifestations

Most cancer patients have a family history of hereditary diseases, but cervical cancer is an exception. From a scientific point of view, it is still unclear whether cervical cancer has a family history, but its family hereditary tendency is not as obvious as other tumors. The occurrence of cervical cancer is mainly caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection.

Doctors say that although the cure rate of cervical cancer can reach 100% if it is discovered early, women who have recovered should also have regular checkups. Patients who have recovered 1 to 2 years ago should be followed up every 1 to 3 months, and then every six months to avoid the possibility of recurrence.
