How to prevent metastasis after colon cancer surgery

How to prevent metastasis after colon cancer surgery

The proportion of colon cancer in malignant tumor diseases is gradually increasing, and its threat to people's life and health is also greatly increasing. The mortality rate is second only to lung cancer and liver cancer. The treatment of colon cancer generally starts with surgery to remove the malignant tumor part and achieve a more ideal treatment effect. After the operation, some cancer cells will remain in the patient's body, which requires reasonable measures to clean up in order to prevent the recurrence of colon cancer after surgery.

After surgery, patients with colon cancer need follow-up treatment to effectively clean up residual cancer cells and tiny lesions. A safe and effective postoperative treatment method is needed by patients. As colon cancer grows and develops, it gradually metastasizes to distant sites. Three-quarters of patients already have metastases at the time of diagnosis. Half of those who can undergo radical surgical resection will eventually develop distant metastases. In this case, chemotherapy can be used as an adjuvant treatment to clean up residual lesions after surgery. Since colon cancer is not sensitive to radiotherapy and radiotherapy may also cause some serious complications, radiotherapy is not recommended. Chemotherapy also has relatively serious toxic side effects. It should be used with caution in patients with advanced colon cancer who have poor physical function to prevent damage to the body's immune function due to toxic side effects.

At present, the treatment of malignant tumors pays more and more attention to the quality of life of patients and the safety of the treatment process. Patients hope to find an anti-cancer method that can replace chemotherapy and radiotherapy with greater toxic side effects. The current clinical application of biological cell immune anti-cancer technology has solved this problem. Biological cell immunotherapy can replace chemotherapy for postoperative treatment of colon cancer, and DC-CIK cell groups can be used to accurately kill cancer cells.

Bio-cell immunotherapy for colon cancer

There are no toxic side effects during the whole process, because it only kills cancer cells without affecting normal cells. Its ability to kill cancer cells is also higher than that of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and there is no problem of insensitivity to treatment. It is suitable for most patients with colon cancer and can effectively reduce the risk of recurrence of colon cancer after surgery.
