What are the targeted therapeutic drugs for laryngeal cancer?

Laryngeal cancer is one of the common malignant tumors of the head and neck, and its overall survival rate is still low. The more traditional treatments for laryngeal cancer include surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. I will not introduce too much here, but mainly introduce the targeted treatment of laryngeal cancer. I hope it will be helpful to everyone.

Targeted therapy for tumors has attracted more and more attention due to its therapeutic effects or the high efficiency and selectivity of drugs on tumor cells, with little damage to normal tissue cells. The application of targeted therapy in laryngeal cancer mainly includes the following points:

1. Molecular targeted therapy

Molecular targeted therapy can be roughly divided into molecular targeted therapy at the gene level (gene targeted therapy) and molecular targeted therapy at the protein level. Among them, gene targeted therapy can inhibit the occurrence and development of tumor cells or directly kill tumor cells through the biological effects triggered by the target gene. The targets of molecular targeted therapy at the protein level are cell surface growth factor receptors or important enzymes and proteins in the intracellular signal transduction channel.

2. Targeted radiotherapy

The development of science and technology has promoted the development of modern radiotherapy technology, making radiotherapy, one of the three traditional treatments for laryngeal cancer, more in line with the concept of targeted therapy: efficiently targeting radiation to tumor tissue cells while reducing the spread of radiation to normal tissue cells, protecting important organs and tissues.

3. Targeted hyperthermia

Tumor hyperthermia is a tumor treatment method that inactivates tumor cells by raising the body's tissue temperature to more than 41% through physical methods. Targeted hyperthermia has a place in the research of targeted therapy because of its advantages such as minimally invasive and targeted.

In summary, the application research of targeted therapy in tumors has made certain progress.
