Colorectal cancer is a type of tumor. This tumor disease poses a serious threat to our body. Many people have lost their precious lives and health because of colorectal cancer. We should not take colorectal cancer lightly. There are many care methods for colorectal cancer in daily life. In order to let everyone have a clearer understanding, today we will learn about the care measures for colorectal cancer. (1) Polypoid tumors: If the tumor is small, the entire tumor should be removed for examination, including the pedicle. If there is no obvious tumor pedicle, the basal mucosa of the tumor should also be removed for examination. (2) When performing a biopsy on a larger tumor, care should be taken to avoid taking necrotic tissue on the surface of the tumor. If possible, try to take tissue at the junction of the tumor base and normal mucosa. If necessary, especially when adenoma is suspected to be malignant, it is advisable to take samples from multiple locations. (3) For ulcerous lesions, the tissue at the edge of the ulcer should be clamped, and the degenerated or necrotic tissue on the ulcer surface should not be taken. When preparing small pieces of living tissue, special attention should be paid to the embedding direction of the mucosa to ensure that the longitudinal section of the glandular duct can be observed in the slice. Serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) was first measured in 1965 by Gold, who extracted r-cell membrane glycoprotein from human colorectal cancer and pancreatic cancer tissues and found that it also existed in endoderm-derived digestive tract adenocarcinoma and 2-6 month embryonic liver, intestine and pancreatic tissues. Therefore, it was named CEA and was considered to be able to specifically measure colorectal cancer. Subsequent work confirmed that the CEA content in colon cancer tissue was clearly higher than that in normal tissue, indicating that it could be used as a basis for diagnosis. However, after increasingly widespread application and further analysis, it was found that CEA levels were higher in colorectal cancer (49%-60%) and lung cancer (52%). CEA is also found in tumors such as pancreatic cancer (64%), thyroid (60%) and bladder. Therefore, CEA is actually a malignant tumor-related antigen. The positive rate is the highest in colorectal cancer, especially in liver metastasis. It has been reported that in 20 cases of colon cancer, the CEA levels in the portal vein and peripheral veins were compared. The CEA levels in the portal vein were significantly higher than those in the peripheral blood, indicating that the liver has a role in clearing CEA, but its mechanism is still unclear. In recent years, CEA determination has been widely used in clinical practice, and its clinical significance can be summarized into two aspects. I hope that the above explanation of the care measures for colorectal cancer can attract everyone's attention. Colorectal cancer threatens our lives. Everyone must have a full understanding of this disease and do a good job of preventing colorectal cancer in daily life. If you find symptoms of colorectal cancer in your body, you must not delay and go to the hospital for examination in time. |
