Botulinum toxin allergy symptoms

Botulinum toxin allergy symptoms

Nowadays, people have more and more demands for beauty. Wrinkle removal, face slimming, leg shaping, etc. are all common beauty projects and are also favored by many people. Therefore, many beauty salons have launched various beauty projects. Botulinum toxin injection is a beauty method that many people have tried. Although this method will get better results in a short period of time, it can also easily cause allergic symptoms.

First:

Only a professional dermatologist can perform such an operation, which is not something a beauty salon can do. This is because the application of botulinum toxin in cosmetic applications requires consideration of many issues, such as dosage and injection site, which requires professional training. Once the injection fails, the consequences are no less than disfigurement.

second:

When injecting, it must undergo very strict skin testing. As a highly toxic bacillus, many people cannot adapt to it, and even people who have never had allergies before may become allergic to it.

third:

After injecting botulinum toxin, you need to continue to inject it to keep the effect, so you need a certain amount of financial strength. The cost of injecting botulinum toxin is about 3,000 yuan per time. For some workers who need to constantly use facial expressions, we recommend that they stop working for 1 to 2 weeks after the injection, otherwise it will affect the effect of the injection.

Types of allergic reactions

Type I hypersensitivity reaction

Also called rapid allergic reaction, such as allergic rhinitis, urticaria, angioedema, asthma, shock, etc.;

Type II hypersensitivity reaction

Also known as cytotoxic allergic reactions, such as hemolytic anemia, leukopenia, acute glomerulonephritis, thrombocytopenia, etc.;

Type III hypersensitivity reaction

That is, immune complex allergic reaction, such as chronic glomerulonephritis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, etc.;

Type IV Allergic Reactions

Type IV is mediated by specific sensitized effector T cells. In this type of reaction, local inflammatory changes occur slowly, and the peak reaction occurs 24-48 hours after contact with the antigen, so it is called delayed hypersensitivity reaction. Such as allergic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, chronic tuberculosis infection, etc.
