How to prevent bladder cancer recurrence rate

The main harm of malignant tumors is that they are difficult to cure. If you are not careful, it may lead to repeated attacks of the disease, causing lasting damage to the body. I believe everyone is very familiar with bladder cancer. How can we provide relevant care to avoid the recurrence of the disease?

( 1) Nursing for bladder cancer: For patients undergoing urinary tract diversion, the intestines should be prepared 3 days before surgery. Change to a semi-liquid diet with little residue, and change to a liquid diet 1 day before surgery. Vitamin K should be supplemented. Low-pressure saline enema should be performed daily, and cleansing enema should be performed the night before surgery until the discharge is clear.

( 2) Closely monitor the patient's condition after surgery to prevent and detect bleeding and shock at an early stage.

( 3) Connect the wound drainage tube, cystostomy tube, and ureteral drainage tube, mark them, and secure them properly to prevent them from shifting, falling into the body, or coming out. Understand the directions and functions of various tubes, do not connect them incorrectly, do not put pressure on the tubes, and do not kink them. Keep them unobstructed. The color, properties, and amount of the drainage fluid must be carefully observed in the care of bladder cancer. All tubes should be sterile, and the drainage bottles and urine bags should be replaced daily to prevent contamination. Strictly implement aseptic operations.

( 4) Psychological care: Bladder cancer care provides patients with information about the tumor and emotional support. For patients who undergo total cystectomy and urinary tract diversion and reconstruction, the necessity of the surgery should be explained, and if the diversion is handled properly, it will not affect their daily life and work, so as to strengthen their confidence in treatment.

( 5) You can effectively prevent bladder cancer by taking more vitamin E. Studies have shown that taking vitamin E, namely α-vitamin E and γ-vitamin E, can prevent bladder cancer. Among them, α-vitamin E has a more obvious effect. It can be taken from almonds, spinach, green mustard, pepper, sunflower seeds, and edible vegetable oils such as olive oil, cottonseed oil and rapeseed oil. Actively exercise to improve the body's immune ability and a reasonable diet are also ways to prevent bladder cancer. Eat a diet rich in vitamins, ensure nutritious food intake, and eat less spicy and greasy food.
