How long can a person with prostate cancer bone metastasis and lung metastasis live

The location of the prostate is very peculiar. It is close to the testicles and the urethra is also inside the prostate gland. Prostate cancer is an epithelial malignant tumor that occurs in the prostate. It is very harmful to patients and can cause hematuria and hematospermia. So how long can a patient with bone and lung metastasis of prostate cancer live?

1. When prostate cancer metastasizes to the bones and lungs, it means it is already in the middle or late stages, so the survival period is not very long, only about seven or eight years. However, patients should not be discouraged. As long as they actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment, have a good treatment mentality, and have the confidence to fight the disease, there are many patients who can live for about ten years. There are also many treatment methods, and patients must choose a method that suits them.

2. There are many treatments for prostate cancer bone metastasis and lung metastasis. The first is radiotherapy. This treatment method has many advantages. It is very suitable for patients who are not suitable for surgery or patients with recurrence after surgery. If it is localized prostate cancer, radiotherapy can also relieve the patient's pain. External irradiation and internal irradiation can be performed, which can occasionally reduce the recurrence rate of cancer cells and improve the control rate of the disease.

3. Not only radiotherapy but also cryotherapy can be performed, which is also one of the methods for treating bone metastasis of prostate cancer. It is treated through both chemical and morphological aspects. The commonly used routes are transperineal and transurethral. The transperineal incision will expose the prostate without freeing the prostate. Then a cryoprobe is used to locally cool the prostate to -180~-190℃, which can cause necrosis of tumor tissue. However, it is best to use it in conjunction with other plans for better results.

The survival rate of prostate cancer bone metastasis and lung metastasis is about seven or eight years. If the treatment is good and the patient recovers well, the survival period will also be increased. Patients should not give up hope of treatment because of bone metastasis. This is a very wrong approach. Active treatment is required and good living and eating habits are also required.
