What is the test that can diagnose prostate cancer

The prostate is an important part of the male body. Due to their bad lifestyle, some men suffer from this disease. Prostate cancer is the most common malignant tumor in the male reproductive system. It is reported that it is the second most common cause of cancer death in men after lung cancer and is a major killer of men. So what kind of examinations are needed for those with prostate cancer? Here is an introduction for you.

1. Ultrasound examination: Since the prostate is inside the body, the symptoms of the disease cannot be obtained through intuitive observation, so it is necessary to insert a special ultrasound tower into the rectum to depict the cross-sectional image of the prostate, thereby reflecting the scope of the lesion. With the development of science and technology, ultrasound probes have become more advanced. Generally, large hospitals have three-dimensional imaging B-type ultrasound workplace probes, which greatly improve the accuracy of imaging and improve the diagnostic value. During ultrasound examination, the patient's prostate shows uneven reflections, and light clusters, low-echo areas or clusters of light spots will appear. This can objectively show the degree of enlargement and state of the prostate, thereby achieving the diagnosis result.

2. CT and MRI examinations: This diagnostic method is not very effective for early and small prostate cancers, but it is helpful for determining local tumor infiltration and local lymph node spread in the late stage. This method can stage prostate cancer based on the extreme level of resolution factors, help patients choose other treatment options and estimate prognosis, so as to better treat their disease.

3. Rectal digital examination: Since prostate cancer occurs roughly in the glands under the capsule of the posterior lobe of the prostate, rectal finger examination is required for the diagnosis of prostate cancer. This treatment method is of great significance for the diagnosis and staging of prostate cancer. During the examination, attention should be paid to the size, shape, presence or absence of irregular nodules, the degree of enlargement of the prostate volume, the condition of the central groove, the activity and hardness of the gland and the seminal vesicles. There are also some other methods, which I will briefly tell you about, such as laboratory tests, prostate puncture examinations, X-ray examinations, and radiological examinations.

To sum up, these are some of my personal understandings of prostate cancer examination. If you or your friends suffer from this disease, please go to the hospital for examination in time to avoid worsening of the disease due to your own negligence.
