What are the symptoms of advanced lung cancer? Three common symptoms of advanced lung cancer

Cancer is a disease that people are afraid of. Lung cancer is a common type of cancer. Many patients become pessimistic when they hear that they have lung cancer. Some even give up treatment, thinking that the disease cannot be cured. Without timely treatment, the disease is allowed to develop and lung cancer will cause more harm when it enters the late stage.

The main manifestations of advanced lung cancer are as follows:

1. Hoarseness

When the tumor of lung cancer patients invades the left side of the mediastinum, the recurrent laryngeal nerve is often compressed, so the patient often becomes hoarse, but there is usually no sore throat and no respiratory infection.

2. Edema of face and neck

Facial and neck edema is also one of the manifestations of advanced lung cancer. If the tumor cells of lung cancer patients invade the right side of the mediastinum and compress the superior vena cava, it will cause poor blood flow and eventually lead to facial and neck edema.

On the right side of the mediastinum is the superior vena cava, which transports venous blood from the upper limbs and head and neck back to the heart. If the tumor invades the right side of the mediastinum and compresses the superior vena cava, it will initially cause the jugular vein to become swollen due to poor blood return, and eventually lead to edema of the face and neck.

3. Shortness of breath, pleural effusion

Shortness of breath and pleural effusion are also manifestations of advanced lung cancer. When the normal tissue fluid produced by the lungs and myocardium flows back from the lymph nodes in the middle of the chest, shortness of breath often occurs.

The above introduces the symptoms of advanced lung cancer. You should know the symptoms of advanced lung cancer. After suffering from lung cancer, you must seek timely treatment. Don't be pessimistic and think that lung cancer is difficult to treat. In fact, as long as the disease is treated scientifically as soon as possible, lung cancer can be cured.
