Potential complications of cervical cancer

Potential complications of cervical cancer

Cervical cancer is very harmful to women's health. We must detect the disease as early as possible and treat cervical cancer in time to avoid the disease from harming health. In order to defeat the disease as soon as possible, we need to understand the cause of cervical cancer. What are the complications of cervical cancer?

One of the complications: uterine cancer complicated by pregnancy. Its complications are relatively rare. Patients may seek medical treatment due to threatened abortion or prenatal bleeding. Vaginal smear and biopsy can confirm the diagnosis. If early pregnant women have vaginal bleeding, they should undergo routine speculum examination of the cervix and cervical smear cytology examination.

The second complication is the effect of pregnancy on cervical cancer. During pregnancy, the blood supply and lymphatic flow rate in the pelvis increase, which may promote the metastasis of the cancer. During delivery, the cancer will spread, causing severe bleeding and postpartum infection. During pregnancy, due to the influence of estrogen, the cells in the cervical transition zone proliferate actively, which may be similar to carcinoma in situ, but with directional differentiation and polarity. These changes can be restored after delivery.

Complication 3: Carcinoma in situ may also occur during pregnancy and cannot be cured after delivery. Therefore, it should be distinguished from carcinoma in situ and the disease should not be delayed.

In summary, through the above introduction, I believe that the majority of female friends have already understood the complications of cervical cancer. It is recommended that female friends must develop a good habit of regular physical examinations, because regular physical examinations are the best way for women to detect cervical cancer early.
