Acute cystitis is mostly caused by ascending infection, accompanied by acute urethritis. Typical clinical manifestations include frequent urination, urgency, pain and turbid urine, which are mainly caused by inflammation of the bladder triangle and posterior urethra, and sometimes pain in the lower abdomen at the end of urination. The urine is turbid in appearance, with a large number of pus cells in the urine and occasional hematuria. The inflammatory lesions are limited to the bladder mucosa, and there is often no fever or leukocytosis in the blood, and the systemic symptoms are mild.
