How to detect early stage brain cancer

What are the early detection methods for brain cancer? Brain cancer is a very common brain tumor in our lives. The occurrence of this disease has caused us very serious harm, so when we find that our bodies have some suspicious symptoms, we must go to the hospital for examination and diagnosis in time. The following editor will introduce the detection methods of brain cancer in detail.

1. Ultrasonic exploration: Tumors are more irregular and unevenly echogenic than gliomas on A and B ultrasounds. The anterior angle of the thickened optic nerve becomes blunt, and there are often strong echo spots or calcifications inside, with obvious acoustic attenuation. Other secondary changes such as optic disc edema and anterior displacement of the eyeball wall are well displayed on ultrasound. Sometimes, mild thickening of the optic nerve may be difficult to display on ultrasound, and comparison of both sides is required. B ultrasound shows that the upper and lower image spots of the optic nerve are elongated and the boundaries of the optic nerve are unclear. Due to the obvious acoustic attenuation of the tumor, the full length of the thickened optic nerve and the tumor cannot be displayed, and only the oblique section of the tumor can be displayed. If there is a lot of calcification in the tumor, only the anterior boundary of the lesion may be displayed.
2. CT scan. CT is very valuable for the diagnosis of optic nerve tumors, especially for the display of calcification in the tumor. CT identifies the nature of the lesion mainly based on the shape and density of the thickened optic nerve. Therefore, judging whether the intraorbital mass is the thickening of the optic nerve itself is the key to distinguishing optic nerve tumors from other retrobulbar tumors. Due to the volume effect of CT or when the density values of the optic nerve and the tumor are close, the transverse axial CT sometimes cannot distinguish whether it is the thickening of the optic nerve itself or a tumor on one side of the optic nerve. At this time, coronal CT or MRI may be a better method of identification.
