Briefly describe whether patients with gastric cancer can have children

Gastric cancer is indeed a very serious disease. The incidence rate of gastric cancer is indeed very high. If it is not properly prevented, it will cause many harms to the body of gastric cancer patients. I don’t know if gastric cancer patients can get pregnant. Every gastric cancer patient hopes to have a cute baby. How about it?

Gastric cancer ranks first among various malignant tumors in my country. Most patients with early gastric cancer have no obvious symptoms, and a few have nausea, vomiting, or upper gastrointestinal symptoms similar to ulcer disease. Pain and weight loss are the most common clinical symptoms of advanced gastric cancer.

Patients often have clear upper gastrointestinal symptoms, such as upper abdominal discomfort and fullness after eating. As the disease progresses, the upper abdominal pain worsens, and there is a decrease in appetite and fatigue. Depending on the location of the tumor, there are also special manifestations. Cardiac and fundic gastric cancer may have retrosternal pain and progressive dysphagia; gastric cancer near the pylorus may have pyloric obstruction; after the tumor destroys the blood vessels, there may be gastrointestinal bleeding symptoms such as vomiting blood and black stools. The treatment of gastric cancer is mainly surgical, and the standard procedure is D2 radical surgery, which is combined with chemotherapy after surgery. The prognosis of gastric cancer is related to the pathological stage, location, tissue type, biological behavior and treatment measures of gastric cancer. The prognosis of early gastric cancer is better after treatment.

There are currently many young patients with gastric cancer who have not yet given birth when they are diagnosed with the disease, and they will face the question of whether to get pregnant. After comprehensive treatment of gastric cancer and the condition is stabilized, the patient's condition and physical condition, the possible negative impact of pregnancy, and the patient's and his family's expectations for the next generation can be considered.

Would patients with gastric cancer consider pregnancy? In fact, we must pay attention to the prevention of diseases like gastric cancer. Pregnancy is very important, especially for patients with gastric cancer. Pregnancy is possible, but the prerequisite is that the disease like gastric cancer needs to be stabilized, which can also increase the chance of pregnancy.
