There is no crescent on the thumb

There is no crescent on the thumb

It is normal for the thumb to have no half-moon. The absence of a half-moon does not mean that it is unhealthy. The half-moon is mainly formed because the metabolism promotes the accelerated growth of the nails and there are no blood vessels on the fingers. In the case where there is no lunula on the thumb, we only need to check whether there is any abnormality in metabolism to determine whether there is a problem with the lunula. If there is no lunula, there is no need to worry too much.

Does the absence of white half-moon on nails really mean that they are unhealthy?

To uncover the truth, you first have to understand what the crescent moon is. The so-called half-moon mark, also known as the half-moon mark, refers to a white arc-shaped mark that appears one-fifth of the way below the nail.

The reason why the white crescent appears is because of the human body's metabolism. The nails grow rapidly, and white crescents will form on the parts of the fingers where there are no blood vessels.

So in the final analysis, the white half-moon is due to the metabolism of nails.

For some people, the nails may grow later or grow slower, causing the lunula to shyly hide in the nail flesh and refuse to show up. So, there is only an invisible crescent moon, but there is no non-existent crescent moon. People who are a little careful will sometimes find, if they observe carefully, that the white crescent moon seems to be partially blocked, and it feels like the moon just appearing at night.

But even if the crescent looks unclear, it doesn't mean you are unhealthy.

Among the ten fingers, the most obvious white half-moon is on the thumb. This is why many people cannot see the white half-moon on the other eight fingers, but can often see it on the thumb. This is because we use our thumb the most, so the nails wear out the fastest, and the metabolism is naturally more vigorous than on other fingers, so the white half-moon often appears on the thumb.

If for some work reasons you use your other fingers more often and your nails wear out faster, you will find that the fingers you use the most will soon have white half-moons.

Therefore, it is obviously very reckless and unscientific to judge whether the body is healthy based solely on the white crescent.
