How to check for melanoma

How to check for melanoma

Each of us may have various moles of different sizes on our bodies. In our subconscious mind, moles may affect our image at most, but we probably never think that these moles on our bodies can also threaten our lives and health. Melanoma makes us begin to notice that these moles are not as simple as we think. So, let us all understand together, how do we check for melanoma?

1. Look at the location: Generally speaking, moles on friction sites such as the soles of the feet, elbows, and scalp are more likely to become malignant. Friction will cause the proliferation of mole cells to become active, resulting in abnormal shapes and malignant changes. Clinically, it has also been found that moles on the soles of Chinese people are most likely to become malignant.

2. Depth: Whether a mole becomes cancerous has nothing to do with its size, but is related to the location of the mole cells. According to the depth of the skin where the mole cells are located, moles are divided into intradermal moles, junctional moles, and compound moles. Relatively speaking, junctional moles (located at the junction of the epidermis and dermis) are more likely to become cancerous.

3. Look at the color: There are many colors of moles, in addition to black, there are also red, blue, etc. Blue moles are relatively more likely to become cancerous, so you should pay close attention to them.

Through the above introduction, we have learned some clinical examination methods of melanoma. Clinically, malignant melanoma is a relatively terrible disease. Once the patient is infected, the physical health is threatened and the patient's life is directly threatened. In addition to going to a regular hospital for examination and treatment in a timely manner, we must also pay attention to the patient's psychological care and personal care during the treatment period.
