What should we pay attention to in preventing melanoma

What should be paid attention to in the prevention of melanoma? Melanoma is a type of tumor that is mainly distributed on the surface of the skin, so it is also an early symptom of skin cancer, with a high mortality rate. It should be diagnosed and treated in time. So, what should be paid attention to in the prevention of melanoma? Let's take a look at the following three methods.

Three ways to prevent malignant melanoma:

1. For pigmented nevi that occur in areas prone to friction, biopsy should be performed for pathological examination. For example, if a child has a large hairy nevus on the waist, it is often rubbed and squeezed by the belt, so it should be completely removed as soon as possible. If it is difficult to remove all of it at once, the main part of the large hairy nevus can be removed as much as possible in the middle before it becomes malignant, and the two sides can be sutured. After the surrounding skin is loosened, the remaining part can be removed until the nevus is completely removed to prevent malignant transformation. Each specimen removed must be sent for pathological examination. If there is malignant transformation, it should be completely removed and skin grafting should be performed.

2. Do not use corrosive drugs or complete freezing to stimulate moles. If the moles cannot be frozen off once and are repeatedly frozen several times, it is dangerous because moles often become malignant due to traumatic stimulation. It is reported that some people have become malignant due to incomplete freezing. About 30 to 50% of malignant melanomas are related to external stimulation. If it is necessary for beauty, it is safer and more reliable to remove the mole at one time. Cryotherapy combined with excision should be completed in one time. Do not remove in multiple times. The excised specimens should be sent for pathological examination.

3. Receive information about the malignant transformation of moles:

1. The mole increases in size, and the pigment becomes darker or lighter. 2. The mole expands radially to the surrounding area. 3. The mole causes pain or discomfort for no reason, and there is a small amount of exudate on the surface. 4. The lymph nodes in the mole area are swollen, and a faint blue-black color can be seen. 5. The patient has blue-black urine.

Through the above introduction to melanoma, everyone has a deeper understanding of melanoma. If you find symptoms of melanoma, you must go to a skin hospital as soon as possible to receive regular treatment.
