Sequelae of radiotherapy for endometrial cancer

How to treat the sequelae of radiotherapy for endometrial cancer? Endometritis is one of the common gynecological diseases nowadays, which seriously affects female compatriots. So, I want to know how to treat the sequelae of radiotherapy for endometrial cancer. The clinical manifestations are as follows:

(1) Vaginal bleeding: This is the most common and earliest symptom of endometrial cancer. It is often manifested as irregular bleeding with varying amounts of bleeding. Premenopausal women may have heavy menstrual flow and prolonged duration. Postmenopausal women may have postmenopausal bleeding.

(2) Vaginal discharge: Endometrial cancer tissue necrosis and shedding can cause exudate to be discharged through the vagina. It may be rice soup-like and mixed with blood or purulent with a foul odor.

(3) Pain: This often occurs in late-stage patients due to the tumor compressing the nerves. The pain may occur in the lower abdomen in the lumbar region and may radiate to the legs.

(4) There are usually no obvious abnormalities in the early stage of examination; in the late stage, the uterus may become enlarged and soft; in postmenopausal women, the uterus does not shrink or enlarge, and a metastatic mass can be felt in the pelvic cavity.

How to treat the sequelae of radiotherapy for endometrial cancer? Pay attention to the following points to avoid recurrence after surgery:

1. The diet should be light and avoid eating irritating foods such as mutton, shrimp, crab, eel, salted fish, and black fish.

2. Avoid spicy foods and drinks such as chili peppers, peppercorns, raw onions, raw garlic, and white wine.

3. Avoid eating foods that are hot, coagulant, or contain hormones, such as longan, red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, and royal jelly.

4. Eat more lean meat, chicken, eggs, quail eggs, crucian carp, turtle, white fish, cabbage, asparagus, celery, spinach, cucumber, winter melon, mushrooms, tofu, kelp, seaweed, fruits, etc.

5. Eat regularly and in fixed amounts, and avoid overeating

6. Adhere to a low-fat diet and eat more lean meat, eggs, green vegetables, fruits, etc.
