How beans fight endometrial cancer

How beans fight endometrial cancer

Nowadays, many people only like to eat big fish and meat, and don’t like to eat other foods. This practice is seriously wrong and can easily lead to malnutrition. In fact, beans are a good food because beans can help female friends deal with endometrial cancer, and endometrial cancer is a very serious disease. So how do beans fight endometrial cancer?

Isoflavones are a type of flavonoid compound, mainly found in leguminous plants. Soy isoflavones are a type of secondary metabolites formed during the growth of soybeans. Because they are extracted from plants and have a similar structure to estrogen, they are called phytoestrogens. The estrogenic effect of soy isoflavones affects hormone secretion, metabolic biological activity, protein synthesis, and growth factor activity, and is a natural cancer chemopreventive agent. Prebiotic soy isoflavones are biologically active substances refined from non-GMO soybeans. They are a natural nutritional factor with multiple important physiological activities. They are pure natural phytoestrogens, easily absorbed by the human body, and can quickly replenish nutrition. According to the latest research results, eating soy foods regularly will reduce the risk of endometrial cancer in women, and this effect is most obvious for overweight women.

"It is well known that estrogen produced in women plays a key role in the development of endometrial cancer," the researchers wrote in the British Medical Journal. "Soy foods contain isoflavones, which have both estrogen-like and anti-estrogen activity. It is not yet clear what effect eating large amounts of these foods has on the risk of endometrial cancer."

To investigate this issue, Xiao Ou Shu et al. from Vanderbilt University randomly selected 832 endometrial cancer patients and 846 non-endometrial cancer patients and compared the subjects' bean food intake. The results showed that the higher the intake of bean food, the lower their risk of endometrial cancer.

Compared with women who consumed less than 5.9 g of soy protein per day, women who consumed 6.0 to 10.2 g, 10.3 to 16.0 g, and more than 16.0 g per day had a 7%, 15%, and 33% lower risk of developing endometrial cancer. If the analysis was limited to overweight women, the reduction in the risk of endometrial cancer would be even more significant.

After learning the above knowledge, I believe that female friends should start eating beans now, because the above article fully demonstrates that beans can resist endometrial cancer. At the same time, endometrial cancer is also a very serious disease. Female friends must protect themselves well to avoid the occurrence of this disease.
