What examination items are needed for ovarian tumors

Ovarian tumors are common gynecological tumors. Ovarian malignant tumors are one of the three most common malignant tumors of the female reproductive system. Epithelial tumors are more common in women aged 50-60, and germ cell tumors are more common in young women under 30 years old.

Ultrasound examination

The clinical diagnosis consistency rate is >90%, but it is difficult to detect solid tumors with a diameter of <1cm.

Abdominal X-ray

Ovarian teratomas may contain teeth, bone, and calcified cyst walls.

CT, MRI, PET examination

It is an imaging examination that can help understand the relationship between the tumor and surrounding tissues, and whether there is lymph node enlargement and metastasis.

Serum AFP

It has specific diagnostic value for yolk sac tumor. AFP may also be elevated in immature teratoma and mixed dysgerminoma.

Other tests

Dynamic observation of sialic acid (SA) helps to change the treatment plan in time, and LDH isoenzyme spectrum is also of certain significance for the diagnosis of malignant tumors. When accompanied by abnormal coagulation and fibrinolysis, plasma DD often increases, and DD is also closely related to tumor infiltration. Almost all patients with postoperative thrombosis (especially lower extremity venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism) have elevated DD levels.
