Will ovarian tumor recur?

Ovarian cysts are very common and can occur at any age, but are most common in people aged 20 to 50. Ovarian malignant cysts rarely have symptoms in the early stages of the disease, so early diagnosis is difficult. 70% of patients are already in the late stage when they seek medical treatment, and they rarely receive early treatment. The 5-year survival rate has always hovered around 20-30%, making it one of the most serious malignant cysts that threaten women's lives. Therefore, many female friends are very panicked about the recurrence of ovarian tumors. So what should we do about the recurrence of ovarian tumors?

Regarding the recurrence of ovarian tumors, malignant ovarian tumors are very common and can occur at all ages. Malignant ovarian tumors rarely have symptoms in the early stages of the disease, so early diagnosis is difficult. Most of them are in the late stage when they seek medical treatment and rarely receive early treatment. It is currently one of the most serious malignant tumors that threaten women's lives. Malignant ovarian tumors are often prone to recurrence after treatment. Once an ovarian tumor recurs, treatment is extremely difficult and the effect is poor. Therefore, follow-up should be strengthened.

Malignant ovarian tumors are malignant tumors of the female reproductive system. Malignant ovarian tumors are prone to recurrence after treatment. Early and metastatic ovarian tumors are the causes of recurrence. The five-year survival rate is generally only about 20-30%. The correct application of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy can improve the short-term survival rate of patients with malignant ovarian tumors and reduce the recurrence of ovarian tumors.

To prevent the recurrence of ovarian tumors, since malignant ovarian tumors are sensitive to chemotherapy, multiple courses of treatment can be repeated alone or in combination. In addition to systemic application, drugs can be administered intraperitoneally and injected through a catheter in the inferior epigastric artery to achieve a higher concentration of local drugs, enhance the efficacy, and prevent the recurrence of ovarian tumors. Radiotherapy is rarely used because of large-area intraperitoneal injections and excessive tissue reaction, which patients cannot tolerate. Surgery is the main treatment method. During surgery, the abdominal cavity should be explored first to determine the extent of the lesion and whether there is lymph node metastasis. Surgical treatment often has a good effect on the recurrence of ovarian tumors.
