Symptoms of bile duct cancer:

1. Biliary bleeding

If the tumor ruptures, it may cause upper gastrointestinal bleeding, black stools, positive occult blood in the stool, and anemia.

2. Abnormal bowel movements

The stool is grayish white, with a white clay color, and the urine is dark yellow, like strong tea.

3. Enlarged gallbladder

An enlarged gallbladder may be palpated in patients with middle and lower bile duct cancer, but the MURPHY'S sign may be negative; whereas the gallbladder is generally not enlarged in patients with hilar bile duct cancer.

4. Liver damage

Decompensated liver function may cause ascites or edema of the lower limbs. Tumor invasion or compression of the portal vein may cause portal hypertension; advanced patients may develop hepatorenal syndrome.

5. Biliary tract infection

Patients may have biliary infection, the most common bacteria are Escherichia coli, Streptococcus faecalis and anaerobic bacteria. Endoscopic and interventional radiological examinations can induce or aggravate biliary infection, causing right upper abdominal pain, chills, high fever, jaundice, and even shock.

You must pay attention to your daily diet, especially for patients in the early stages of bile duct cancer. If you eat properly, you can greatly enhance the improvement of your condition.

1. A considerable part of the formation of cholecystitis and cholelithiasis is related to excessive cholesterol levels and metabolic disorders in the body. Therefore, you should limit the intake of foods with high cholesterol content, such as fish roe, egg yolks of various eggs, and liver, kidney, heart, and brain of various carnivorous animals.

2. Try to reduce the intake of fat, especially animal fat, do not eat fatty meat or fried food, and replace animal oil with vegetable oil as much as possible.

3. Increase the intake of foods rich in high-quality protein and carbohydrates, such as fish, lean meat, soy products, fresh vegetables and fruits, to ensure the supply of calories, thereby promoting the formation of glycogen and protecting the liver.
