Testicular cancer affects men's normal life and work, so if you have testicular cancer, you should treat it as soon as possible. However, it may recur after treatment, so patients should be cautious in choosing treatment methods, so as to avoid the recurrence of testicular cancer to the greatest extent. So how can we treat testicular cancer clinically to reduce the recurrence rate? The treatment of testicular tumors is divided into surgical treatment, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The basic surgical method is orchiectomy and retroperitoneal lymph node dissection. Radiotherapy is extremely sensitive to seminoma, embryonal carcinoma and malignant teratoma are less sensitive to radiation, and choriocarcinoma is extremely insensitive to radiation. Testicular tumors respond well to chemotherapy. It is generally believed that chemotherapy has a better effect on seminoma, embryonal carcinoma and choriocarcinoma, especially when several drugs are used in combination, the effect is better. It is less effective for teratoma. Chemotherapy also has a certain effect on advanced or recurrent cases. Therefore, localized seminoma can be treated with radical orchiectomy and retroperitoneal external radiation therapy, with a cure rate of more than 90%. For metastatic seminoma, chemotherapy is used. The most effective triple drug is cisplatin, bleomycin and etoposide, with a remission rate of about 90%. For localized non-seminoma, close follow-up or retroperitoneal lymph node dissection is performed after radical orchiectomy. Advanced non-seminoma is treated with chemotherapy after radical orchiectomy, followed by retroperitoneal lymph node dissection. There are definitely many methods for the treatment of testicular cancer, but not all methods are suitable for every patient. We just want to say that you don’t have to be afraid of getting sick. What is scary is not taking it seriously or giving up and not going to the hospital for treatment. Patients must seek medical treatment in time, which will increase the patient’s chances of survival and make it possible to recover health. |
