How to increase melanin

How to increase melanin

Perhaps most people who pursue fair skin do not want to have too much melanin in their bodies, because too much melanin will make a person's skin look dull and lifeless. However, there is another disease on the skin, that is, melanin deficiency, which can cause the famous skin disease vitiligo. So when you find that you are lacking melanin in your body, you should increase melanin appropriately. What are some ways to increase melanin?

1. Increase the intake of tyrosinase

How is melanin formed? Tyrosine forms dopaquinone under the action of tyrosinase, and dopaquinone forms melanin after oxidation. Therefore, one of the keys to increase melanin is to increase tyrosine. So how to increase this substance? It mainly exists in food, such as animal liver or lean meat, and eggs are also rich in this substance.

2. Reduce glutathione intake

Scientists have found that if our diet lacks glutathione for a long time, the activity of tyrosinase in the skin will increase. So if you want to increase the melanin in your body, you should eat less of this kind of food. Onions, garlic, tomatoes, and various fish and shrimp contain a lot of glutathione. On the contrary, carrots, eggplants and various fruits contain very little oil of this substance.

3. Eat less foods rich in vitamin C

You should know that vitamin C can help reduce serum copper or serum copper oxidase very well, and this substance is the key to the formation of melanin, so if you want to increase melanin, you should reduce its intake. It actually plays a promoting role because vitamin C can help block the production of melanin, thus becoming the key point for the production of melanin.

Although it is necessary to increase the amount of melanin in the body appropriately when it decreases, it does not mean that it should be increased without control. When there is too much melanin in the body, it may cause various skin problems, the most obvious of which is darkening or spots.
