Nursing considerations for glioma

Nursing considerations for glioma

There are many glioma patients in life, which brings great pain to people. After suffering from brain glioma, many people will choose surgical treatment. After surgical treatment, it is necessary to do a good job of caring for the patient, so as to reduce recurrence. The following introduces the care precautions for glioma.

1. Patients with brain gliomas should be cared for according to general surgical care routines and post-anesthesia care routines.

2. Supine general anesthesia patients should lie flat before waking up from anesthesia, with their heads turned to the healthy side. After waking up from anesthesia, if the blood pressure is stable, the head can be raised about 15-30 degrees.

3. Patients with brain glioma should fast on the day of surgery. They can eat liquid or semi-liquid food on the second day or follow the doctor's advice.

4. Observe consciousness, pupils, and pulse once an hour for 6 consecutive times, once every 2 hours for 12 consecutive times. Measure blood pressure once an hour for 6 consecutive times, once every 2 hours for 3 consecutive times. Stop observation after the condition stabilizes for 3 days. If the condition requires, continue observation according to the doctor's advice.

5. Pay attention to the drainage of the incision and contact the doctor on duty if there is any abnormality. Keep the dressing dry at all times and pay attention to whether there is cerebrospinal fluid leakage after removing the drainage tube.

6. Try not to use sedatives or sleeping pills on the day of surgery for glioma.

7. Indwelling catheterization is routinely given after brain glioma surgery.

8. If any abnormal findings are found during the observation (such as pupil size, changes in consciousness, limb paralysis, unstable blood pressure), you should contact your doctor in time.
