What is the surgical treatment for diffuse endometrial cancer? There are two treatment methods

Diffuse endometrial cancer can be treated with laparotomy. If you want to preserve your fertility, you can remove part of the lesion. If you are past the reproductive age, you can remove the entire uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes. In addition, this disease can also be treated with laparoscopic surgery, and lymph node removal is required if necessary.

The incidence of endometrial cancer is second only to cervical cancer. The disease has many different pathological types, and diffuse type is one of them. This type of endometrial cancer lesions are located in most or all of the endometrium. If it is in the early stage of the disease, its symptoms are very similar to those of endometrial hyperplasia and are not easy to distinguish. So what are the surgical treatments for diffuse endometrial cancer?
1. Surgical treatment of diffuse endometrial cancer
1. Laparotomy
The cancerous site of this disease is mainly the endometrium, and the range and depth are very wide. If it is in the early stage of the disease and there is no metastasis, the cancer can be removed through laparotomy. Make an incision in the abdomen, then find the lesion and remove it. If you have never given birth before, or hope to retain your fertility, then part of the lesion can be removed according to your condition. If you have passed the childbearing period, you can consider removing the entire uterus and both ovaries and fallopian tubes, so as to better remove cancer cells. However, this operation causes great trauma and the recovery after surgery is relatively slow.
2. Laparoscopic surgery
Laparoscopic surgery can also be used to treat this disease. Simply put, it is to clean the abdominal cavity with the help of a laparoscope, and then remove the corresponding lesions. If necessary, lymph node removal is also required, and the lymph nodes in the pelvis and around the abdominal aorta can also be removed. Laparoscopic surgery usually needs to be performed in multiple times to achieve a thorough treatment effect. Compared with traditional open surgery, this treatment method takes a shorter time and recovers quickly.
2. Postoperative care for diffuse endometrial cancer
1. Regular follow-up
Regular follow-up after surgery can help you better understand the recovery after surgery and detect signs of recurrence in time. Generally speaking, you should have a follow-up every three months within one year after surgery, every six months within 2 to 3 years, and once a year after three years.
2. Pay attention to your diet
For this type of patients, they should have a reasonable daily diet after the operation and should not eat foods containing estrogen, such as soy foods and royal jelly.
