What should I pay attention to after radiofrequency ablation of liver cancer? How should I take care of myself?

What are the contraindications after radiofrequency ablation for liver cancer? Liver cancer requires timely treatment, of which radiofrequency ablation is a very good treatment method. If you suffer from liver cancer, it often has a great impact on the patient's daily diet, and there will be many discomfort symptoms after surgery. So, let's introduce what to pay attention to after radiofrequency ablation for liver cancer? How to care?

What should I pay attention to after radiofrequency ablation of liver cancer? How should I take care of myself?

Pain in the liver area is the first symptom of patients with advanced liver cancer. A small number of patients experience severe pain in the liver area spontaneously or suddenly after liver puncture, which is mostly caused by rupture and bleeding of cancerous nodules on the surface of the liver. If accompanied by a drop in blood pressure and shock, and bloody fluid is found in abdominal puncture, it means that the cancerous nodules are severely ruptured and bleeding. In this case, emergency rescue is required.

Radiofrequency ablation is a relatively effective surgical method. The radiofrequency current passes through the RFA electrode needle deployed in the tumor, inducing ion oscillation in the tissue around the electrode needle. After a few minutes, frictional heat is generated, which increases the temperature of the tumor tissue to 80-110 degrees, directly causing coagulative necrosis of tumor cells.

Radiofrequency ablation technology is to use percutaneous puncture under the guidance of images (CT, color ultrasound) to accurately insert the multipolar mother-and-child needle ablation electrode into the tumor site, and use radio frequency waves to heat the tumor tissue to 95 degrees, causing local high temperature in the tumor tissue, complete necrosis, and gradual absorption, disappearance, and melting. It is targeted and minimally invasive, with precise and controllable image monitoring and few side effects. It can achieve a radical effect in the treatment of early lung cancer, liver cancer, kidney cancer and other solid tumors.

Postoperative care precautions are:

1. After radiofrequency ablation, the patient must rest in bed as ordered by the doctor. The venous puncture site should be compressed with a sandbag for 6 hours, and the arterial puncture site should be compressed with a sandbag for 8-12 hours. The affected limb should be immobilized (restricted from moving), and attention should be paid to observe whether there is bleeding.

2. Provide easily digestible food during bed rest.

3. Closely observe the heart rate and rhythm in the early stage after radiofrequency ablation. If you feel any discomfort, report it to the doctor in time. If necessary, electrocardiogram, cardiac ultrasound and chest X-ray examinations should be performed.

4. If you feel that tachycardia is occurring again after surgery but it does not actually occur, do not be nervous and no special treatment is required.

5. Normal activities can usually be resumed one week after the operation.

In addition, patients need to note that if there is a relapse after discharge, they should record an electrocardiogram nearby in time and contact the surgeon to decide on the next treatment plan.

The above is an introduction to the relevant content. I believe that now everyone has a certain understanding of "What should we pay attention to after radiofrequency ablation of liver cancer? How to care?" I hope it will be helpful to patients and friends.
