How to treat glioma recurrence? What are the solutions to glioma recurrence?

Glioma is a highly recurrent brain tumor disease. The recurrence time of this disease depends on the degree of differentiation and treatment. Generally, traditional treatments mostly relapse within 1-5 years. There is currently no effective means to prevent recurrence. All patients can do is to have regular follow-up visits and actively take treatment after recurrence. How to treat glioma recurrence? The following are solutions:

1. After observing the recurrence of the tumor, it is not necessary to immediately undergo surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy. If the tumor is small, benign, and does not affect the function of the nervous system, it can be temporarily observed; if the tumor grows and affects the function of the nervous system after reexamination, surgery can be considered again.

2. The volume of the surgery is large, and the intracranial pressure increases or causes other neurological disorders. Consider another surgery, but if the tumor recurs repeatedly, consider whether the patient's condition can be reoperated. If the patient's general condition is very poor and tumors occur in multiple parts of the brain, another surgery is generally not possible.

3. Non-surgical use of traditional Chinese medicine to treat brain gliomas to prevent recurrence after surgery. Any treatment method that cannot shrink or eliminate the tumor or improve symptoms will not be effective in preventing recurrence after surgery for patients with brain gliomas who cannot undergo surgery. Some patients and their families do not understand the true effect of the treatments they take to prevent recurrence after surgery, actively cooperate with the treatment methods and suggestions, and do not know whether these methods have successful precedents, and the results often end in failure.
