How much tg can be used to determine the recurrence of thyroid cancer? What are the characteristics of thyroid cancer recurrence?

What is the symptom of thyroid cancer recurrence? TG is the abbreviation of triglyceride, which is a fat molecule formed by long-chain fatty acids and glycerol. Triglyceride is the most abundant lipid in the human body. Most tissues can use the decomposition products of triglyceride to supply energy. At the same time, tissues such as liver and fat can also synthesize triglyceride and store it in adipose tissue.

Reference value enzymatic method: male 0.44~1.76mmol/L; female 0.39~1.49mmol/L. Increased TG is commonly seen in coronary heart disease, primary hyperlipidemia, arteriosclerosis, obesity, obstructive jaundice, diabetes, nephrotic syndrome, etc.

There are no clear symptoms for the recurrence of thyroid cancer. The signs of its recurrence are: thyroid nodules. If there is metastasis, the cervical lymph nodes may be enlarged. This is because lymph node metastasis is the most common in thyroid cancer. In addition, thyroid cancer recurrence can be determined by checking thyroglobulin TG and anti-thyroglobulin antibodies anti-TG. However, it must be checked half a month after discontinuing thyroxine (Euthyrox) because thyroxine can inhibit TG. If the TG is much higher than the normal value, it can be roughly concluded that thyroid cancer has recurred.

Alpha globulin antibody TG is an indicator used to observe the recurrence of thyroid cancer. If it suddenly rises sharply, it indicates the possibility of recurrence, and you should seek medical treatment from a specialist in time. In terms of diet, you should avoid eating seafood, kelp, seaweed, jellyfish, iodized salt and other high-iodine foods.
