Are the risk factors of cervical cancer related to sexual life? How to prevent cervical cancer

Many women lose their lives because of the lack of early detection of cervical cancer, so knowing the causes of cervical cancer can help us better prevent it. So what are the causes of cervical cancer? What should we pay attention to in preventing cervical cancer? Let's take a look.

What are the causes of cervical cancer?

(1) Relationship with sexual life and marriage

The incidence of cervical cancer in women who have sex too early (before the age of 18) is four times that of those who have sex after the age of 18. If a woman has early sexual life and has sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea, the incidence of cervical cancer is six times that of normal women. It has now been confirmed that if women have sex with multiple men, they have a greater chance of developing cervical cancer, while virgins rarely develop cervical cancer.

Unmarried and nulliparous women rarely suffer from cervical cancer, and the incidence of cervical cancer is also high in women who have married multiple times. Multiple births, poor perinatal care and poor delivery process can also increase the incidence of cervical cancer. However, multiple births do not increase the incidence of cervical cancer.

(2) Relationship with spouse

Some people believe that if the husband's foreskin is too long or the phimosis is too long, his wife's risk of cervical cancer is relatively large. If the husband has penile cancer, prostate cancer or ex-wife cervical cancer, and the man has a sexual partner, the wife's chance of cervical cancer increases.

(3) Viral or fungal infection

Herpes simplex virus type II, human papillomavirus, human cytomegalovirus, and fungal infections may be associated with the occurrence of cervical cancer. However, which virus mainly induces or under which virus coordination is prone to cervical cancer has not been resolved.

(4) Socioeconomic status and smoking

Cervical cancer usually occurs in women with lower social and economic status. Women who smoke are twice as likely to develop cervical cancer as non-smokers. In addition, different living habits in different regions may also affect the incidence of cervical cancer. Women's low immune function and bad mental factors are related to the occurrence of cervical cancer.

What knowledge do you need to prevent cervical cancer?

1. Understand and avoid the risk factors of cervical cancer. Obviously, factors closely related to cervical cancer include early sexual activity (before 16 years old), sexual dysfunction and sexually transmitted diseases (especially HPV infection), early marriage, early childbearing, and multiple births.

2. Sexual hygiene is an important matter that both men and women should pay attention to. Keeping the perineum clean is common sense for women, but men often ignore sexual hygiene and can easily become the "source" of gynecological diseases. Studies have found that viruses and bacteria are hidden in the male foreskin, which can easily cause inflammation and cervical cancer in women; if a man's ex-wife has cervical cancer, his second wife is more likely to have cervical cancer; if a man has penile cancer, women are also likely to get sick. Men who pay attention to sexual hygiene can objectively help their wives prevent cervical cancer.

3. For women with a sexual history of more than 2 years, regular cervical cancer prevention examinations every year are the key to early detection and early treatment of cervical cancer.
