Cervical cancer is the only cause of gynecological malignancies, and is related to persistent infection with human papillomaviruses (HpV) in high-risk populations. HPV is a double-stranded DNA virus with a spherical shell and a diameter of 55nm. It mainly infects the epithelium of the skin and mucous membranes, causing different lesions. More than 200 types of HPV have been identified, and at least 30 are related to genital mucosal infections. So what is the cause of cervical cancer? 1. The relationship between sex life and marriage The incidence of cervical cancer in women who have sex too early (referring to sex before the age of 18) is 4 times that of those who have sex after the age of 18. If women start sex early and have sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis and gonorrhea, the incidence of cervical cancer is 6 times that of normal women. It has been confirmed that if women have sex with multiple men, they have a greater chance of developing cervical cancer, while virgins rarely develop cervical cancer. Unmarried and nulliparous women have little chance of contracting cervical cancer, and the incidence of multiple marriages is also high. Multiple births and poor perinatal maintenance and delivery processes can also increase the incidence of cervical cancer. However, multiple births do not increase the incidence of cervical cancer. 2. Relationship with spouse Some people believe that the risk of cervical cancer is relatively high if the husband has too long foreskin or phimosis. If the husband has penile cancer or prostate cancer or his ex-wife has cervical cancer, and the man has a sexual partner, the wife's chance of cervical cancer increases. 3. Viral or fungal infection Herpes simplex virus type II, human papillomavirus, human cytomegalovirus and fungal infection may be related to the occurrence of cervical cancer. However, which virus mainly induces or under which virus coordination is prone to cervical cancer has not been resolved. 4. Socioeconomic status and smoking Cervical cancer often occurs in women with low socioeconomic status. Smokers are twice as likely to develop cervical cancer as non-smokers. In addition, different living habits in different regions may also affect the incidence of cervical cancer. Low immune function and adverse mental factors in women are related to the occurrence of cervical cancer. |
