Can vaccination prevent cervical cancer? Doing these 7 things can easily prevent cervical cancer

As the only cancer vaccine in the world, the cervical cancer vaccine can prevent cervical cancer and reduce the incidence of cervical cancer by 70%. The cervical cancer vaccine has been vigorously promoted and popularized by the World Health Organization, but it has not yet been applied in mainland China. Therefore, many mainland women will receive the cervical cancer vaccine in Hong Kong and Macau, and some women will even bring their daughters and mothers and daughters to be vaccinated together.

Can vaccination prevent cervical cancer?

Since the HPV vaccine was launched in the United States in June 2006, more than six years of clinical practice have proved that the vaccine has a significant preventive effect on cervical cancer in women. Research data show that the cervical cancer vaccine can effectively prevent 70% of cervical cancers related to HPV and viral infection and 90% of genital warts caused by HPV infection. However, out of prudence and in accordance with Chinese law, the HPV vaccine needs to complete one, two, and three clinical trials in China. After the clinical trials are completed, the drug supervision and management department still needs to give final approval. At present, China is in the third phase of clinical trials. Mainland women can only go to Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan for vaccination three times within 6 months.

Cervical cancer is the only cancer in the world that has been solved. In the 1970s, German scientist Harald zur Hausen discovered the cause of cervical cancer, human papillomavirus (HpV). The HPV virus is transmitted through sexual intercourse, and more than 200 types of HPV have been discovered. About 71% of cervical cancer cases are caused by the virus HpV16 and HpV18.

Vaccination, as a primary prevention method, is recognized by the world as the most effective way to eliminate diseases. Therefore, the World Health Organization (WHO) regards cervical cancer as the cancer most likely to be eliminated.

There are nearly 100 subtypes of HpV, 15 of which are related to cervical cancer, including high-risk subtypes HpV16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 68, etc.

Foreign vaccines are divided into 2-valent and 4-valent vaccines. The former covers two subtypes of HPV16 and 18, while the latter covers four subtypes of HPV16, 18, 6, and 11. Existing vaccines are mainly developed based on common high-risk subtypes abroad, which are different from the virus subtypes prevalent in China. Common high-risk subtypes in China include 58, 31, etc. If you are vaccinated with cervical cancer vaccine, you may still be repeatedly infected with other high-risk subtypes.

The cervical cancer vaccine can only be used for prevention and has no therapeutic effect on patients who have already been infected with the virus. Therefore, the best recipients are women who have not had sex. Studies have shown that the protective effect of the cervical cancer vaccine decreases rapidly as the recipient ages. Therefore, it is best for women to be vaccinated before or after menarche.

When the two vaccines were approved for marketing, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommended that the vaccine population be between 9 and 26 years old. And stated that based on the existing data, the vaccine cannot effectively protect women over 26 years old. However, as HPV is further studied with vaccines, the protection period of the vaccine is being relaxed. Although the previous view was that the vaccine could not provide antibody protection for people over 26 years old, the latest research has corrected this view.

Do seven things to tell cervical cancer NO

Although there are examples of cancer being cured, the cure rate for patients in the middle and late stages is very low, so we should prevent, detect and treat cancer as early as possible. In order to stay away from cervical cancer, women must do the following 7 points.

Stop smoking.

Women who smoke are twice as likely to develop cervical cancer as women who do not smoke. Ask a dentist to help bleach your teeth that have become yellow due to smoking, then look in the mirror every day and tell yourself that I will never smoke again in order to have such white teeth.

Pay more attention to private parts

Giving it a "bath" frequently and keeping it clean and fresh is the most basic thing for women, right? But be careful too much. If you over-clean the vagina, it will destroy the self-cleaning effect of the vagina.

Wear breathable underwear

Breathable and loose pure cotton underwear. Mold can easily survive in a humid and warm environment, so wear breathable and loose pure cotton underwear to prevent mold from occurring.

Make love with hygiene

Especially urge him to wash his body before having sex with you. His smegma is carcinogenic! Sperm may irritate the vagina. In some cases, this irritation is even a carcinogenic factor, so using a condom is an effective method.

Timely treatment

Although cervicitis cannot be said to be a precancerous lesion of cervical cancer, the risk of developing into cancer is 15%-75%, so it is better to be careful! Unmarried girls who have no sexual experience may also suffer from cervical erosion, which is related to their own estrogen metabolism, so don't be careless!

Keep your sheets clean

In order to maintain a sterile living environment, women who have sex should keep clean and fresh sheets.

Keep gynecological examination

Have a gynecological examination once a year. If you are ashamed to have a gynecological examination, you will not be able to prevent problems before they occur.
