Misunderstandings about the treatment of cervical cancer How to treat cervical cancer

Many women know that if they have physical problems, they should seek timely treatment, but sometimes due to lack of relevant disease knowledge, the psychological pressure is too great, which is not conducive to the improvement of the disease. This is because they accidentally fall into misunderstandings about treatment. So, what are the misunderstandings about cervical cancer treatment?

1. Cervical cancer requires hysterectomy, and fertility cannot be achieved after surgery. Hysterectomy is the routine treatment for early cervical cancer, but it is not a choice, cone hysterectomy, radical trachelectomy, etc., which can avoid hysterectomy and try to preserve the right of female patients to be mothers without affecting survival.

2. Cervical erosion can turn into cancer. Many women have the misunderstanding that cervical erosion can cause cervical cancer, so they are very afraid of cervical erosion. In fact, there is no necessary connection between the two. Cervical erosion is a common inflammatory condition. The appearance of early cervical cancer is very similar to cervical erosion and is easy to confuse.

Erosion is not "rotten" in the true sense, it can be a physiological phenomenon. Under the action of estrogen, the columnar epithelium of the cervical canal of women of childbearing age turns outward and replaces the squamous epithelium of the cervix, presenting a "erosive" state. Due to the relatively low estrogen level in the body, "erosion" is rare in women during puberty and before menopause.

3. Young people do not get cervical cancer. In recent years, the age of cervical cancer has become younger and younger. Therefore, women should receive their first Pap smear test at the age of 21 or after 3 years of sexual intercourse. They should consult a doctor about how long. In fact, age does not mean anything. Even if you have reached menopause, undergone a hysterectomy, or are over 65 years old, a Pap smear test is still necessary.
