Lung cancer refers to a disease in which cancerous lesions occur in the bronchial mucosa of the human body. Smoking, air pollution, exposure to chemical toxins, and chronic lung diseases are all major causes of lung cancer. If the disease develops to the late stage, the patient's survival rate within five years can only be improved through reasonable treatment, and it is difficult to cure it completely. We all know that cancer is the most difficult disease to treat, and lung cancer is the most common malignant tumor. The disease has the characteristics of high incidence and high mortality. With the increase in the number of female smokers in my country, the ratio of male to female lung cancer is now showing a trend of equalization. Lung cancer is prone to tumor spread and metastasis. If not treated in time, it will cause irreversible consequences. Smoking is a major factor causing lung cancer. In the past, most smokers were men, so lung cancer had the characteristic of "favoring men over women". But now smoking is no longer a "patent" of men. More and more women are diagnosed with lung cancer. This phenomenon is especially common in big cities. Secondly, environmental pollution is also an important factor causing lung cancer. With the development of the economy and the improvement of the degree of industrialization, pollutants in the atmosphere continue to rise, which can easily induce cancer when inhaled by the human body. People who need to be exposed to heavy metals, oil, and asphalt for a long time due to work are also prone to accumulation of carcinogens, which can cause lung cancer. For patients with advanced lung cancer, the following five radiotherapy methods are required: ① Radical treatment: suitable for patients who are intolerant to surgery or refuse surgery; ② Palliative treatment: the main purpose is to relieve the patient's pain, and the number of irradiation should be adjusted according to the patient's specific condition; ③ Preoperative radiotherapy: can improve the surgical resection rate and reduce the possibility of surgical sequelae; ④ Postoperative radiotherapy: can ensure the complete resection of the tumor and guarantee the treatment effect; ⑤ Intracavitary short-distance radiotherapy: suitable for patients with only large bronchi cancer. However, it should be noted that for advanced patients with metastasis, since the cancer cells in the adjacent organs are very small and difficult to detect, it is difficult to remove them through surgery, so it is no longer suitable for surgical treatment. When choosing a treatment method, patients with lung cancer should make decisions based on their own actual conditions. If the patient's body is extremely weak, chemotherapy must be used with caution, because chemotherapy will cause great pain to the patient and can only guarantee the patient's life safety for a short period of time at most. It does not have much therapeutic effect and may even accelerate the patient's death. |
