Can liver cancer be prevented? Four habits make Chinese people more susceptible to liver cancer

The liver affects every aspect of our body and life. If there is a problem with it, it will cause great trouble to the patient. A more serious liver disease is liver cancer, and there is no effective treatment for liver cancer yet. The incidence of liver cancer in China is very high, especially in recent years, the data of clinical cases has continued to increase. Many people want to ask, can liver cancer be prevented?

4 Habits Make Chinese People More Susceptible to Liver Cancer

1. Long-term drinking without paying attention to diet

One of the most important and common causes of liver cancer is long-term drinking. Chinese people, especially men, are busy with work and often have to socialize. Regular drinking can cause fatty degeneration of liver cells. Long-term such habits will cause repeated fatty degeneration of liver cells, leading to necrosis and regeneration of liver cells, and further development of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. Finally, it will deteriorate into liver cancer. Generally, people who drink a lot of alcohol for a long time suffer from fatty liver. Many young people in China do not pay attention to their diet, and there are many obese people. Although people with fatty liver do not necessarily get liver cancer, unhealthy diets, especially those who love to eat greasy food, will cause the fat they eat to accumulate in the liver, causing the liver to not function properly. Over time, it is easy to develop hepatitis. People with hepatitis are more likely to suffer from liver cancer than ordinary people.

2. Moldy food

Alcohol is one of the reasons, but the main reason why Chinese people are more likely to suffer from liver cancer than other countries is aflatoxin. Aflatoxin is a carcinogenic substance that is mostly found in moldy food. If the human body eats rotten and moldy food for a long time, it will ingest aflatoxin, which greatly increases the risk of liver cancer. If the peanuts and corn that are common in our homes are moldy, aflatoxin will be produced. The aflatoxin produced by peanut mold is the most powerful. Many elderly people are reluctant to throw away moldy food. This habit really needs to be changed. Generally, if part of the peanuts is moldy, the whole bag cannot be eaten. In addition, peanut oil tastes good and is also the first choice for daily cooking oil for many Chinese families. We don’t know the production process of these peanut oils. Moldy peanuts can easily be squeezed into oil and enter our dining table. Compared with other countries in the world, our Chinese people prefer to eat some pickled and high-salt foods, and pickled foods contain a lot of nitrosamines, which are carcinogenic, so this is also a major reason why Chinese people are more likely to suffer from liver cancer.

3. Water pollution

Drinking water is the most important factor for our survival, and water pollution is also one of the main causes of liver cancer. Research from the School of Health at Fudan University shows that the nodularia in polluted water sources can cause damage to the liver and kidneys. Many rural mountainous areas in my country are short of water, but people still drink these polluted water sources. Over time, these polluted water sources will damage our liver and kidneys, and eventually deteriorate into liver cancer.

4. Chinese medicine with hepatotoxicity

Some of the Chinese herbal medicines we commonly use contain certain liver toxicity, which is one of the reasons why my country is more likely to suffer from liver cancer than other countries. Among the medicines we take for colds and coughs, there is a Chinese medicine called coltsfoot, which has certain liver toxicity. In addition, Chinese herbal medicines such as Sijichun, gallnut, and cinnamon bark have slight toxicity that damages the liver. All medicines are three-point toxic. As long as you seek medical advice and take the medicine according to the doctor's instructions, there is no problem at all. However, many elderly people do not like to go to the hospital when they are sick. In order to save money, they will take Chinese medicine prescriptions learned from the public. Once these prescriptions that have not been confirmed by doctors are taken for a long time, it will cause a burden or even damage to the liver, and eventually it will develop into liver cancer.

Although the above bad habits will make Chinese people more susceptible to liver cancer, as long as you pay a little attention to your daily life, you can still prevent liver cancer to a large extent. Here are the prevention methods.
