It is understood that many people in my country lose their lives due to liver cancer every year. Liver cancer has become a major killer that endangers people's health. So what are the early symptoms of liver cancer? 1. Fever A considerable number of patients will experience sweating and fever, most of which are low to moderate fever, and a few patients may have high fever, above 39°C. Generally, the symptoms of liver cancer are not accompanied by chills. The fever of liver cancer is mostly cancer fever, which is caused by the release of pyrogens into the blood circulation after tumor tissue necrosis. 2. Weight loss and fatigue The symptoms of liver cancer are often more fatigue than those of other tumor patients, which is similar to that of chronic hepatitis patients. The cause of fatigue is unknown, but it may be due to digestive disorders, nutrient absorption disorders leading to insufficient energy, or liver cell damage leading to decreased liver function, resulting in metabolic disorders, failure to inactivate certain toxins in time, or the release of toxic substances due to liver cancer tissue necrosis. 3. Lower limb edema Patients with liver cancer symptoms and ascites often have lower limb edema, which can occur at the ankles in mild cases and spread to the entire lower limbs in severe cases. Clinically, some patients have been seen with severe lower limb edema, with fluid oozing out of the thigh skin. 4. Digestive tract symptoms Loss of appetite, worse after meals. Upper abdominal distension. Warm breath, indigestion, nausea, fatigue, weight loss, etc. are the early digestive tract symptoms of liver cancer, among which loss of appetite and abdominal distension are the most common. Diarrhea is also a common early symptom of liver cancer. 5. Other symptoms The pain in the right upper abdomen is mainly characterized by persistent dull pain in the liver area, especially at night and after fatigue. Low-grade fever often has unexplained low-grade fever. The clinical manifestations of liver cancer are very atypical. Some patients may seek medical treatment with prominent symptoms such as high fever, jaundice, and acute abdomen, and some even come to the hospital with symptoms caused by metastatic lesions. There are many cases of early liver cancer. We must take preventive measures to avoid getting sick. So, how to prevent liver cancer? Chronic liver disease can be caused by various causes, including viral, fatty (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), drug-induced, infectious (bacterial, fungal, etc.), parasitic, autoimmune, genetic metabolic, vascular and other factors. It can be divided into acute and chronic in terms of the course of the disease. It is generally believed that chronic liver disease (mainly chronic hepatitis B or C) that does not heal for a long time will slowly develop into cirrhosis, which can cause serious complications in some patients or eventually progress to primary liver cancer. In China, 75-80% of liver cirrhosis and more than 90% of liver cancer are related to chronic hepatitis B, and a considerable portion of liver cirrhosis and liver cancer are related to hepatitis C. Therefore, the key to preventing liver cancer in patients with chronic hepatitis B or C lies in inhibiting the replication of hepatitis B and (or) hepatitis C viruses, delaying the progression of liver cirrhosis, improving one's own immunity, and reducing damage from other physical and chemical factors. Vaccination Vaccination is the most practical and effective method, mainly hepatitis B vaccination. Studies have shown that universal hepatitis B vaccination can effectively reduce the hepatitis B virus surface antigen carrier rate from 10% to 1.3% after 10 years, and significantly reduce the incidence of liver cancer after 16 years. Do not eat moldy food The fungi that produce aflatoxin mainly grow in humid tropical and subtropical regions and can cause corn, peanuts and other grains to mold, so you should avoid eating these moldy foods. Control your emotions Emotions, work pressure, and especially a bad mentality have a great impact on the immune system, adding fuel to the fire. After learning that they have been infected with the hepatitis B virus, many people are afraid and depressed, lose their appetite all day, and touch their livers with their hands, sometimes for two or three hours, worried that hepatitis will turn into cancer. If this emotion persists for a long time, it will lead to a series of changes in the nervous, endocrine and immune functions, significantly reducing the anti-cancer cells in the blood, and cancer will really occur. Do B-ultrasound Liver B-ultrasound is one of the most effective methods for early detection of liver cancer. Hepatitis B patients and hepatitis B virus carriers should undergo a liver B-ultrasound examination every six months when their condition is stable. In addition, young and middle-aged people who are tired and stressed should also have a liver B-ultrasound examination during their health check-up. |
