Is lung cancer contagious? Can lung cancer be contagious to others?

Now many people are paying attention to lung cancer, which is a common disease among cancers and poses a great threat to human life. Many people want to understand the causes of this disease, try to avoid it and do a good job of prevention. You must develop good living habits and eating habits. Take measures to prevent lung cancer, check your body regularly and take precautions.

Lung cancer is one of the common malignant tumors. The treatment of lung cancer is very important, but in life, we should also pay attention to the condition of lung cancer patients. Psychological treatment of lung cancer patients is very important, and people should pay attention to it in life. Many friends want to know whether lung cancer is contagious. So, is lung cancer contagious? Let me introduce it to you below.

Although lung cancer, influenza, tuberculosis and other diseases are respiratory diseases, the nature of the three is not the same. Influenza is a respiratory infection caused by a virus in the upper respiratory tract inflammation, and the influenza virus may be caused by close contact with others through respiratory infection. Therefore, in daily life, influenza patients should wear masks, but do not cough on others, which is a necessary measure to avoid infection. Pulmonary tuberculosis is caused by infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. When Mycobacterium tuberculosis is inhaled into the lungs by healthy people in the air, tuberculosis may occur in patients with reduced body resistance. Therefore, patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis should pay attention to isolation from healthy people to avoid infecting others.

Lung cancer is different. Although cancer cells can often be found in the sputum of lung cancer patients, the cancer cells are easily killed when lost outside the body and have very weak vitality. Therefore, they cannot live like mycobacteria and tuberculosis floating in the dust and be inhaled by healthy lung diseases.

The cause of lung cancer is still not very clear, but it must be closely related to environmental pollution and long-term stimulation of bronchial and lung tissues by inhalation of carcinogens containing toxic gases. Experiments have also shown that implanted allogeneic cancer cells are not easy to survive and are rejected by the body. In animal experiments, lung cancer cells are implanted in the lungs of healthy animals of the same species to form lesions, which can be successful under certain conditions. However, lung cancer has never been found in the same type of animal as the lung cancer.

The results of clinical observations are also true. Lung cancer patients are often admitted to hospital wards, but no tumors have been found due to living in the same room. Many hospitals do not separate lung cancer patients from patients with other diseases. On the other hand, medical staff and family members who have long-term contact with lung cancer patients will not increase the incidence of lung cancer. As for whether lung cancer can be infected or not, there has been no precedent of lung cancer infection so far. Therefore, it can be considered that lung cancer is not contagious. It is not an infectious disease, and it is not caused by frequent contact with patients through respiratory or dietary infection. No isolation measures need to be taken in the hospital or at home. The relatives and friends of the patient do not have to worry about visiting and accompanying the patient, and the patient does not have to worry about living with their family. Of course, it is appropriate for patients to separate their meals from others when eating at home. This is an ideal way of eating in accordance with hygienic habits. However, this is a different matter from the problem of lung cancer transmission.

In summary, I believe that all patients already know that lung cancer will bring great harm to patients and friends, and will affect the quality of life of patients. Therefore, I hope that all friends will maintain good health, good hygiene and eating habits. Go to the hospital for professional examinations regularly to prevent it before it happens. Eliminate lung cancer, start now.
