What is the interventional treatment for lung cancer? Three points to note in the interventional treatment for lung cancer

Interventional treatment of lung cancer is a new technology for treating lung cancer. It is called surgery without surgery. It avoids the risks of surgery and the side effects of chemotherapy, while greatly improving the effect of drugs on tumors.

Interventional treatment of lung cancer mainly includes bronchial artery embolization for the treatment of hemoptysis, transbronchial artery infusion chemotherapy and stent therapy.

1. Bronchial artery embolization for the treatment of hemoptysis is when a lung cancer patient has severe hemoptysis that is life-threatening and drug treatment is ineffective. Bronchial artery angiography can be performed to quickly identify the bleeding site and perform embolization to achieve immediate hemostasis.

2. On the one hand, bronchial artery infusion chemotherapy can increase the local concentration of chemotherapy drugs and enhance the killing effect on tumors. On the other hand, it can reduce systemic adverse reactions. After the drugs circulate through the blood, they reach the local tumor tissue again and repeatedly attack tumor cells.

3. Stent therapy is a method of interventional cannulation where metal stents are placed into the narrowed areas of the superior vena cava, trachea and bronchus, relying on their expansion force to maintain long-term patency of the lumen, allowing the lumen that has been narrowed due to tumor invasion or compression to return to normal, thereby resolving the problems of obstructed blood return to the superior vena cava and tracheobronchial compression and stenosis, treating dyspnea and atelectasis, and a series of symptoms of the patient will disappear.
