The three-level prevention work of liver cancer requires you to know that you should not drink these waters to prevent liver cancer

It is difficult to detect liver cancer in its early stages. Judging from the liver cancer data in my country, many patients have already entered the middle and late stages when they are discovered. Early prevention of liver cancer is very important. Therefore, liver cancer prevention requires phased, three-level prevention measures.

Three-level prevention work for liver cancer

Primary prevention refers to blocking the occurrence of liver cancer from the cause. The main causes of liver cancer are hepatitis (hepatitis B, hepatitis C), aflatoxin intake and drinking water pollution. Therefore, preventing hepatitis, mold and improving drinking water are the key to preventing and treating liver cancer. Specifically, hepatitis B vaccine should be administered during the neonatal period to prevent the occurrence of hepatitis; food storage should be done well, and food contaminated with aflatoxin should not be consumed; and deep well water or tap water should be consumed. In high-incidence areas of liver cancer in my country, such as Qidong, the above measures have been used to observe a decrease in the incidence of liver cancer.

Secondary prevention refers to diagnosing liver cancer in its early stages. Current diagnostic conditions can diagnose liver cancer in its early stages, but the problem is that there are no symptoms or signs in the early stages of liver cancer, and symptoms often appear in the late stages. Therefore, awareness of cancer prevention should be strengthened, and people at high risk of liver cancer should be checked regularly. Early liver cancer can be treated with surgical resection, and the 5-year survival rate after surgery can reach about 70%. Some liver cancer patients have survived for more than 30 years after surgical treatment, and many patients can still get married, have children and work normally. Therefore, early diagnosis is also an important part of liver cancer prevention.

Level 3 prevention is for patients who have been diagnosed with liver cancer. Through surgical treatment, hepatic artery embolization chemotherapy, radiotherapy, etc., the patient's survival can be prolonged and the patient's pain can be alleviated.

To prevent liver cancer, do not drink these waters:

1. Drinking water source

In the high-incidence areas of liver cancer in my country, it was found that the drinking water source is related to the mortality rate of liver cancer in the same high-incidence area. The mortality rate of liver cancer is highest among residents who drink ditch and pond water, followed by those who drink river water, and lowest among those who drink deep well water. The discovery of cyanobacterial toxins in ditch and pond water in recent years can undoubtedly explain this phenomenon. Because the latter is produced by cyanobacteria that breed in ditch and pond water, this toxin can cause necrosis of liver cells and is a strong cancer promoter.

2. Water quality

What we don’t know is that boiled water actually has a shelf life. Studies have shown that if boiled water is stored for three days, it will produce nitrites, which can cause dizziness, nausea and vomiting. If it is stored for a longer time, it will combine with amines to become nitrosamines, which can promote stomach cancer, liver cancer, etc.

3. Water content

The water we drink daily contains not only various mineral elements such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and sodium, but also trace amounts of organic compounds such as organophosphorus and some filter agents used for disinfection, that is, bleaching powder.

Under normal conditions, the filter agent is non-toxic, but after the filter agent collides with organic matter, some new substances will be formed, such as chloroform, chloroacetic acid, and nitrates. The organic matter in the water will produce excessive chloroform during the catalytic process of repeated heating. The bleaching powder in the tap water reacts with organic matter to produce chloroform, which can cause liver cancer, kidney cancer, etc.
