What tests should be done during the 27th week of pregnancy?

Once women become pregnant, they need to go to the hospital for a detailed check-up as soon as possible to rule out the possibility of ectopic pregnancy. Then, during the entire pregnancy, they need to follow the doctor's instructions and go to the hospital regularly for prenatal check-ups. This is crucial and should not be ignored by any pregnant woman. Moreover, the items for prenatal check-ups are different at different times of pregnancy. So what examinations are generally needed in the 27th week of pregnancy?

What tests should be done during the 27th week of pregnancy?

I am 27 weeks pregnant. I don’t need a prenatal check-up this week. The next prenatal check-up will be at the 28th week of pregnancy. Some items in the prenatal check-up need to be performed multiple times, and the focus of each examination is different, such as B-ultrasound examination.

Purpose of B-ultrasound examination:

The results of B-ultrasound examination in the late pregnancy are mainly used to assess how big and tall the fetus is, observe the amount of amniotic fluid and the function of the placenta, and whether the fetus has the umbilical cord around the neck. If there is oligohydramnios, placental calcification, or the umbilical cord around the fetal neck, it is necessary to consider whether to continue the pregnancy based on clinical conditions.

Necessity of B-ultrasound examination:

B-ultrasound diagnosis is an ideal examination method in the field of obstetrics. In the second half of pregnancy, B-ultrasound can be used to diagnose fetal position, twins or multiple fetuses, too much or too little amniotic fluid, fetal malformations, fetal gender, and placental positioning, in order to clarify the cause of bleeding in late pregnancy, measure the fetal head diameter, the fetal intrauterine condition, and predict the maturity of the fetus - judge the fetal maturity and predict the gestational age through placental grading, the amount of amniotic fluid, the fetal biparietal diameter, etc.

1. This week, the baby's growth rate is still relatively fast. The growth of the fetus' body and the cell repair of the pregnant mother all require protein and calories. The highest protein content is found in meat, fish, cheese, eggs and beans. Beans in particular contain a balanced amount of protein, fat, vitamin A, B vitamins, vitamin D, vitamin E, iron and other minerals, making them an excellent source of nutrition during pregnancy.

2. From now until delivery, the intake of grains and beans should be increased because the fetus needs more nutrition. Fiber-rich foods are high in B vitamins, which play an important role in the growth and development of the fetal brain and can prevent constipation. For example, pregnant mothers can eat more whole wheat bread and other whole wheat foods, bean foods, coarse grains, etc.
