I feel a lump on the right side of my testicle

If you feel a lump on the right side of your testicle, it may be a testicular tumor, epididymal nodule or cyst. The specific cause needs to be further determined based on the location, texture, pain and other manifestations. It is recommended to see a doctor as soon as possible to rule out the risk of malignant disease.

If the lump is hard and painless, be alert to testicular tumors, especially in young men. There are usually no other obvious symptoms in the early stages of the tumor. If it is accompanied by distension, soreness, or feels soft, it may be epididymitis or epididymal cysts, which are often caused by infection, inflammation, or fluid accumulation. If the lump is small and granular and can slide, it may be a small nodule of varicocele. Occasional trauma, long-term sitting, and strenuous activities may also cause local congestion to form a nodule. The size, shape, touch, and pain of the lump are very critical to diagnosis.

Regardless of whether you feel unwell or not, you should consult a urologist or andrologist in time to identify the cause through ultrasound examination, blood test or tumor marker screening; once epididymitis is diagnosed, it can be treated with antibiotics (such as cephalosporins, quinolones); if epididymal cysts or varicocele affect your life, you can choose surgical resection or ligation. Avoid local squeezing, maintain hygiene, and take warm water sitz baths appropriately to help the inflammation recover. Delaying time may delay early treatment and needs to be taken seriously.
