Can rectal cancer metastasize to the prostate?

Can rectal cancer metastasize to the prostate?

After rectal cancer develops, it has a great impact on the rectum. In fact, rectal cancer is caused by the growth of malignant tumors in the rectum, which causes various problems in the body. In this process, if effective treatment is not carried out, there is a certain chance that cancer cells will begin to metastasize.

If rectal cancer metastasizes, it is usually more likely to metastasize to the colon and prostate, because there is a certain degree of metastasis in terms of location. However, it does not mean that rectal cancer will definitely metastasize to the prostate during the metastasis process.

Because after every patient is diagnosed with rectal cancer, the cancer cells in his or her body will spread and metastasize step by step. In the process of complete metastasis, there is a certain probability of impact. After the cancer cells in the patient himself or herself spread, it is undeniable that the probability of metastasis to surrounding areas is definitely higher.

However, the location around the rectum is not only the colon and prostate, but also the way each cancer cell spreads is different, and the problems of the body constitution are also different. Due to many different reasons, the spread of the cancer itself is not single. Although there are many probabilities that it will spread to the prostate, there are also some that will spread to other parts.

After rectal cancer is formed, the cancer cells begin to spread and proliferate, and there is a certain chance that they will metastasize to the prostate. However, this does not mean that rectal cancer can only metastasize to the prostate. Some cancer cells will metastasize to other parts of the body such as the colon after spreading. Therefore, it cannot be said that it only metastasizes to the prostate.
