What should I do if I have advanced lung cancer and bone metastasis?

Bone metastasis is common in the late stage of lung cancer. If it has been two months since the patient discovered bone metastasis, it means that the disease is progressing rapidly and timely treatment is needed.

1. Reasons

Lung cancer is a malignant tumor that originates from the bronchial mucosa or glands of the lungs. It is a common primary lung malignant tumor. When lung cancer cells metastasize to distant sites, other parts of the body will be invaded, causing bone metastasis. Bone metastasis refers to the transfer of cancer cells to bones through blood circulation or lymphatic circulation, and the formation of new lesions in the bones, which can cause local pain, swelling and other symptoms in patients.

II. Treatment

1. General treatment: For patients with mild symptoms, bisphosphonates can be used for treatment under the guidance of a doctor, such as alendronate sodium tablets, zoledronic acid tablets, etc., which can inhibit osteoclast activity, reduce bone destruction and dissolution, and relieve patients' discomfort.

2. Radiotherapy: Radiotherapy is a local treatment method that uses radiation to treat tumors. It can directly kill cancer cells through high-energy rays, thereby controlling the progression of the disease and prolonging survival.

3. Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy is one of the most widely used anti-tumor treatment methods in clinical practice. It mainly kills cancer cells through chemical drugs to achieve the purpose of treatment. Commonly used chemotherapy drugs include paclitaxel injection, cisplatin injection, etc.

4. Targeted therapy: Targeted therapy is usually targeted at cancer types with specific gene mutations, inhibiting tumor growth and spread by blocking the signaling pathways of these mutations. Commonly used drugs include gefitinib tablets, erlotinib tablets, etc.

5. Immunotherapy: Immunotherapy is an emerging anti-tumor treatment method in recent years. It activates the body's own immune system to fight tumor cells and has good efficacy. Commonly used immunotherapy drugs include pembrolizumab injection and nivolumab injection.

Patients are advised to follow the doctor's advice and choose the appropriate treatment method according to their own conditions. In daily life, they should pay attention to rest, avoid excessive fatigue, and maintain a good attitude, which is conducive to physical recovery.
